Annual Fund Specialist, Baystate Health Foundation
Rebecca Tanasi is currently working as an Annual Fund Specialist at Baystate Health Foundation in Springfield, MA. In her position, Rebecca executes all aspects of the annual giving program. Her job entails soliciting donors, launching digital “crowdfunding” campaigns, and managing the direct mail program.
Prior to joining Baystate Health Foundation, Rebecca was the Assistant Director of Annual Giving at Westminster School in Simsbury, CT.
Rebecca came to the MPA program after earning her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Connecticut. The MPA program appealed to Rebecca because of the variety of the subject matter and the cohesive community of the Department of Public Policy. While Rebecca always knew that she wanted to also obtain her Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, she surprisingly also found herself drawn to the classes using quantitative methods for policy analysis. When asked if she has any advice for current MPA students, she stated that, “All of the professors have such a wealth of knowledge. Therefore it is important to make the most out of every class. You will only get out of it what you put into it.”
