Much of the work that she does is geared towards assisting individuals to develop skills and find resources to help them become or remain self-sufficient.
Ms. Allen aspires to expand her professional reach through policy. Her goal is to become a policy specialist which would give her the skills, knowledge and ability to write policies that will assist communities in maintaining a high rate of self-sufficiency. By creating change from the top down, Ms. Allen hopes to be able to change not only the lives of individuals, but the culture of families and communities.
