Non-Partisan Budget Analyst, CT Office of Fiscal Analysis
Meghan Green is currently a Non-Partisan Budget Analyst in the Office of Fiscal Analysis (OFA) at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, CT. As an analyst, she continuously reviews and analyzes budget requests/questions and monitors agency budgets, as well as prepares fiscal notes on raised bills during the legislative session.
Before her role at OFA, Meghan received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut with a double major in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation, Meghan worked as a Registered Representative at Voya Financial where she serviced clients’ defined contribution retirement plans. After some time working, Meghan decided to pursue a Master in Public Administration (MPA) after recalling a presentation about the MPA program and thinking a career in public finance was something she wanted to pursue.
While enrolled in her second year of the MPA program, she started interning at the State of Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management on the revenue side of the Budget and Financial Management Division. Here she assisted in the preparation of the revenue portion of the Governor’s economic and fiscal accountability reports. The internship proved to be something Meghan wanted to pursue as a career and ultimately lead to her career at OFA where she is analyzing the expenditure side of the state budget.
