She is interested in being a community organizer in Harford, CT because she thinks it is an interesting and exciting city. UConn has provided her with many opportunities as an undergrad and she is excited to continue her education at UConn.
Her biggest challenge so far results from scheduling between her internship and external jobs, but she is grateful that the staff is very understanding in making everything workout in order for her to graduate on time. Marium believes incoming students should pay attention to the opportunities available to them because “you get what you put into the program”. The More attention and effort will result in a more rewarding experience.

She believes that the UConn MPA program will provide her with the skillsets to become an effective community organizer and make her community a better place to live.
