Paralegal Specialist, CT Office of Early Childhood
Kristen Dudanowicz is a Paralegal Specialist with the State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood. In her work at OEC, Kristen assists in the organization, administration and oversight of OEC’s Child Care and Development Fund Plan, which is the primary source of federal funding for the Agency and has revitalized Connecticut’s Early Childhood Cabinet, a State Advisory Council. She has played a pivotal role in informing the expansion and streamlining processes for the State’s child care subsidy program, Care 4 Kids.
In addition, Kristen uses her legal research and writing skills to draft, revise and inform Agency statutes, regulations and policies. She also sat as an administrative hearing officer for the OEC for five years and has experience writing administrative hearing decisions.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Kristen played a significant role is collaborating with colleagues and external partners to rapidly plan and stand up multiple grant programs to support and stabilize the child care field.
Kristen graduated from the University of New Haven in 2010 with a B.S. in Legal Studies and a B.S. in Criminal Justice.
