Education Consultant, CT Department of Education
Kendra Shakir is currently an Education Consultant at the Connecticut State Department of Education. Her primary role is Data Manager for the Public-School Information System. The data is submitted by all Connecticut Public School districts and collects individual student data regarding student demographics and enrollment. Once submitted, the data is used to fulfill state and federal reporting requirements and used in grant calculations, including the Education Cost Sharing (ECS) grant.
Kendra received her bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College. Kendra has previously served as Board Chair and Vice-Chairperson at Charter Oak Health Center in Hartford, CT. Currently, she is a member of the Windsor Junior Women’s Club. Her hobbies include reading and traveling.
