Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, UConn School of Medicine

Dr. Jody Terranova is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and enjoys the variety of her position. She is director of the pediatric clinic at Burgdorf Health Center in the north end of Hartford where she provides care to patients and oversees education of medical students and family medicine interns. She is the Graduate Medical Education Liaison for the medical school and interacts with leadership at hospitals in the greater Hartford region to support education of all levels of physician trainees across multiple sites. She participates in University-wide governance, sitting on the Education Council, the Admissions Committee and the Graduate Medical Education Committee. At Connecticut Children’s Medical Center she is a member of the Public Policy Council and a founding member of the Referring Providers Advisory Board. She is also an executive board member for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), CT Chapter and serves as the Immunization Representative for the AAP.

Jody also has experience serving her community as an elected leader in town government. She was on the Windsor Town Council from 2011-2019, the last six of those years as the Deputy Mayor. During her tenure she chaired the Finance Committee, the Personnel Committee and the Health and Safety Committee. She was a founding member of the Windsor Dog Park and got her start in town government as a volunteer to the Youth Commission.
