Senior Associate, Point B Consulting

Ciara Bradnan is currently a Senior Associate at Point B Consulting where she delivers strategic plans and implements transformative solutions for clients across a range of industries. She leverages the analytic methods, budgeting, research design, and labor management lessons she learned in the Department of Public Policy.

Prior to this role, she was a Principal Manager at a local tech startup overseeing client accounts and a Lead Program Analyst at Mathematica Policy Research. At Mathematica, she managed business intelligence and program evaluation contracts, and supervised a team of project management and business development professionals.

Before her consulting and professional services work, she served as a Liaison for the United States Senate. During her time at the Senate, she led support and outreach for constituents across a range of issues, including grants and consumer finance, and managed the office’s internship program.

Ciara is a graduate of the University of Connecticut’s Master of Public Administration program with a concentration in Policy Analysis and a Certificate in Public Financial Management. She holds a dual degree with a BA in Political Science and a BA in Government Policy Studies, and a Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Connecticut.

As a Fast-Track student, Ciara completed her graduate and undergraduate degrees in five years. When asked how her MPA degree helps her on a daily basis, she said, “The program teaches you how to think analytically and gives you the tools to succeed.” She believes the management, advanced analytics training, and in-depth experiences in the program are invaluable. “One of the highlights from the program is that there are a variety of opportunities and career paths available to those interested in public service.”

Ciara’s advice to current students: “The program is challenging, but there are great, unique opportunities available – take advantage of them!”
