Ciara Rose Bradnan
Program Analyst, Mathematica Policy Research
Ciara Rose Bradnan currently works as a Program Analyst at Mathematica Policy Research, where she manages health IT development projects and evaluation contracts, and supervises a team of project management and business development staff. This work leverages Ciara’s MPA skills as a business analyst with a policy background.
Ciara manages a team responsible for developing a web-based dashboard reporting health organization performance evaluation metrics and coordinates a study of long-term care systems. Since joining Mathematica, Ciara has worked on health, international, education, and internal business development projects. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Liaison for U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, leading support for constituents across a range of issues, including grants and consumer finance,
Ciara is a graduate of the University of Connecticut’s Master of Public Administration program with a concentration in policy analysis. While in the program, she earned her Certificate in Public Financial Management. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Government Policy Studies and Human Rights, and a Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Connecticut.
As a Fast-Track student, Ciara completed her graduate and undergraduate degrees in five years. When asked how her MPA degree helps her on a daily basis, she said, “The program teaches you how to think analytically and gives you the tools to succeed.” She believes the management, analytics training, and in-depth experiences in the program are invaluable. “One of the highlights from the program is that there is a variety of opportunities and career paths available to those interested in public service.”
Ciara’s advice to current students is that “the program is challenging, but there are great, unique opportunities available – so take advantage of them!”
