Vision, Mission and Values
The mission of UConn’s Master of Public Policy (MPP) program is to provide public service leaders with the analytic, contextual, communication, and ethical skills necessary to lead, manage, and conduct policy analysis and evaluation. Our program emphasizes rigorous analytic methods for assessing alternative policies and evaluating program effectiveness in an increasingly complex and constrained policy environment. Our graduates have the outlook and training necessary to address important public problems in order to make our society better.
We Value Diversity
We are committed to diversity and inclusion. We believe that the success of our students requires that they respect and understand the diversity of communities and cultures that surround them.
The MPA program is committed to providing a climate of education that promotes the diversity of perspectives and experience in public policy development and practice. We seek to achieve this goal through the presence of diverse people, participation of historically excluded groups, and a welcoming and inclusive climate, emphasizing equity, shared power, and responsibility.
