PART-TIME STUDY

Some students pursue their MPA degree through part-time study. If you are eligible to waive our internship requirement, our MPA program can be completed in three calendar years of part-time study (2 courses per semester; 1 course during the intervening summers). After consulting with your advisor, you may enroll in summer courses within the Department of Public Policy or within other departments and schools, or take an independent reading course (with the agreement of a faculty member). Below is a model of a three calendar year part-time program for working students. Of course, depending upon the specific circumstances, part-time students can move through the MPA program at a slower or faster pace than is outlined below.
