The cornerstone of Encore!Connecticut is a two-month fellowship. Encore!Connecticut Fellows will complete an essential project with a nonprofit within their field and position interest that meets the needs of the nonprofit.
Traditional 30 Hours a Week In-House Fellows
The fellowship provides the nonprofit with a highly-skilled professional to manage or develop a project for approximately 30 hours a week for two months, depending on the project. This opportunity provides the Encore!Connecticut fellow with practical field experience in the sector and a strengthening of their skill sets essential to be successful in their nonprofit career, and the nonprofit is provided with a highly-skilled professional to assist in moving a key project forward.
The fellow will report to a member of your staff and be provided with a workspace and technology tools, as available, needed to work on the assignment. We will work with you and your organization’s designated fellowship supervisor every step of the way to ensure a positive, productive experience from the initial fellow-to-organization match to the end of the assigned two-month project.
Outside Consulting Style Fellowship
For Encore!Connecticut fellows who are currently employed (and anticipate moving into the sector in the next few years) we seek to design with you fellowships that allow the fellow to work from home and converse and connect with your leadership team by phone and meetings as appropriate during the day or evening (such as a board meeting).
Please note Fellows are not assigned to your organization. You will have the opportunity to interview them and determine whether they are a good fit for the project you have described.
If your organization is interested in hosting a fellow for their two-month fellowship experience, please complete the application below.
