Graduate Degree Programs

Our nationally-ranked MPA program provides students with the skills to lead in the field of public affairs. Our graduates are leaders in all levels of government and in nonprofit organizations. It is the only NASPAA-accredited MPA program in Connecticut. Also available as a joint degree.

Audience: Those seeking to manage public agencies (federal, state, municipal) and nonprofits

The MPA Executive Track provides current and future leaders with the critical analytic and management skills necessary for advancement in the public sector. It offers convenient Saturday, evening, and online classes.

Audience: Experienced working public and nonprofit professionals

Our Master of Public Policy offers students the analytic and quantitative skills they need to analyze and evaluate policies, programs, and budgets in government, corporate, and nonprofit fields. Also available as a joint degree.

Audience: Those seeking to be policy analysts, research associates, program analysts, and finance/budget analysts in government, corporate, and nonprofit settings

The Master of Arts in Survey Research and Data Analysis is an intensive, 30-credit program designed to meet the needs of today’s survey research practitioners. Also available as a joint degree.

Our graduate certificate in Survey Research provides students with the basic skills and competencies they need to conduct high-quality survey research in virtually any sector, from academia to government agencies to global Fortune 500 companies.

Audience: Individuals who need discipline-specific training in survey research but aren't able to commit to a full master’s degree program

Undergraduate Degree Programs

Our fast-track master’s program gives undergraduates a jump start on a graduate degree in public administration, public policy, or survey research. Students can declare this track at any point during their undergraduate careers and, with the right planning, earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just five years.

An individualized major in public policy allows students to explore the role of government in society and prepares them to design, manage, and evaluate public policies and programs. Those who complete this course of study are well-positioned to succeed at graduate study in areas like survey research, public administration, law, and urban and regional planning.

Audience: Open to current undergraduate students at any UConn campus

The public policy minor provides students with an overview of the design, management, and evaluation of public policies and programs.

Audience: Open to current undergraduates in any major and at any UConn campus

This non-credit program offers high-quality, low-cost training and professional development for professionals working in Connecticut’s public and nonprofit sectors.

Audience: Public service and nonprofit professionals
