Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management: Online
The (Online) Graduate Certificate Nonprofit Management focuses on a core set of skills that leaders in the not-for-profit sector need.
The following courses are required to complete the Certificate.
PP 5323. Leading and Governing Nonprofit Organizations. Leadership skills that build organizations, effective operating practices of nonprofit governing boards, strategic planning.
PP 5328. Business Functions for Nonprofits. Nonprofit budgeting and accounting, financial statement and ratio analysis, forecasting, cash flow analysis, internal controls, and other key financial tools.
PP 5319. Program Development and Evaluation. Key techniques for evaluating and improving organizational performance including strategic planning, program development, program implementation, evaluating effectiveness, and performance measurement.
PP 5324. Grant Writing and Fund Development for Nonprofit Organizations. Developing a funding portfolio that supports the work of a nonprofit organization. Includes grant and proposal writing.
Admission to the program is based on an assessment of the applicant’s potential to succeed in graduate study. Applicants are evaluated based on their demonstrated aptitude for graduate study, experience, and academic achievement.
