This winter the Department of Public Policy (DPP) welcomed two new members to staff!
Luciano Lawrence serves as the DPP’s Outreach Coordinator. Since mid-December Luc has been coordinating recruitment efforts and assisting with marketing initiatives for the department’s professional graduate and undergraduate academic programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the UConn. Previously Luc served as a Summer Orientation Advisor at UConn Hartford.
Ryan Baldassario serves as the DPP’s Director of Engagement. Since mid-February Ryan has managed departmental efforts related to professional development, outreach and external relations. Ryan instructs internship courses and oversees the Internship and Professional Practice (IPP) program, along with the Public Sector Executive Leadership Collaborative (PSELC).
Prior to joining the DPP, Ryan spent six years administering UConn School of Business’s Full-Time MBA program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Honors Program at Central Connecticut State University. Ryan also holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Neag School of Education at UConn. This fall Ryan will complete a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the DPP.
