Administrative Director, Westminster School
Becca Shubert is currently the Assistant Director to The Westminster Fund at Westminster School in Simsbury, CT. In her position, Becca builds alumni relations for organizational advancement purposes and travels to meet with Westminster School alumni throughout the country. In particular, what Becca enjoys most at Wesminster is being able to build relationships with key stakeholders, such as alumni, to work together toward a common purpose.
Before her role at Westminster School, Becca came to the MPA program after earning her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Connecticut. The MPA program appealed to Becca because of the variety of the subject matter and the cohesive community of the Department of Public Policy. While Becca always knew that she wanted to also obtain her Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, she surprisingly also found herself drawn to the classes using quantitative methods for policy analysis. When asked if she has any advice for current MPA students, she stated that “All of the professors have such a wealth of knowledge. Therefore it is important to make the most out of every class. You will only get out of it what you put into it.”
When looking ahead, Becca hopes to stay with Westminster School and advance within the Advancement Office.
