Rebecca Fields started her career as a Real Estate Paralegal and advanced through other areas including risk management, real estate investment, leasing, financing, and the development and renovation of real estate. She worked in the private sector for 22 years for a variety of companies ranging from law firms and insurance companies to property development companies and a hospital. She managed budgets from 50K – 23M renovating and building housing.
She joined the Mansfield Housing Authority as the Executive Director in 2006. She found conducting business in the private sector compared to a quasi-public, nonprofit organization to be an eye opener and a new challenge. However, she remains the Executive Director 9 years later and is firmly committed to providing stable, affordable housing to low, extremely low, and moderate income individuals and families in this area. Rebecca graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Sociology and the University of San Diego, Lawyer’s Assistant Program, specializing in Corporate, Real Estate and Partnership Law. She volunteers as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Mansfield Nonprofit Housing Development Corporation.
