Lindsey Danburg

Expected MPA 2017

BA, Anthropology, University of Connecticut

Lindsey joined the MPA program in 2015 and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration degree and a Graduate Certificate in College Instruction.  Her professional background includes over 10 years of experience providing administrative and program support, logistics, budget preparation and expenditure control for the State of Connecticut.  In addition to pursuing her MPA, Lindsey is employed full-time at University of Connecticut and is a board clerk for the Town of Hebron.  She enjoys spending time at home with her husband and their four children.

What attracted Lindsey to the UConn MPA program was its high national ranking and the rigorous scholarship. The UConn MPA program curriculum provides solid analytical and quantitative coursework. Lindsey knew that to reach her career goals she needed the educational background to analyze information, implement programs and manage change. This program will allow her to obtain these skills while investigating important problems facing society. Her advice for upcoming students is to fully engage in all the opportunities that the program has to offer.

Following her MPA degree, Lindsey plans to earn a PhD in Public Policy and go on to conduct meaningful research in family policy.  She is grateful to be part of the Department of Public Policy at UConn and looks forward to making her goals a reality.
