Upon graduation from Central Connecticut State University, Carrie obtained a position working for PLAN of CT, a nonprofit organization in Hartford. Carrie left her position at PLAN of CT to pursue higher education and began working in the Bursar’s Office at UConn Health. Later she transitioned to a role in Graduate School Bursar providing significant program support to the PhD Biomedical Science program.
Carrie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She learned of the program from a colleague who had recently completed the MPA and how its benefits would provide for a career in higher education and public service. The coursework thus far has significantly enhanced her skills and has allowed her to contribute in her current position at a higher capacity. Upon successful completion of the MPA program, Carrie hopes to obtain a leadership role in higher education.
