Information for Part-Time StudentsThe MPA program welcomes currently employed part-time students! The skills you will learn in our MPA program are useful whether you are looking to make a career change or to prepare yourself for different challenges within your current organization. Please click here for a description of the curriculum. Almost all of our graduate courses are taught one day per week in either 4-6:20 PM or 6:30-9 PM time slots. If you are eligible to waive our internship requirement, our MPA program can be completed in three calendar years of study (2 courses per semester; 1 course in the intervening summers). Although the MPA program currently offers only a very limited number of summer courses, students are free to enroll in courses from other departments and schools, or perhaps take an independent reading course (with the agreement of a faculty member). Below is a model three calendar year part-time program for working students. Of course, depending upon their specific circumstances, part-time students can move through the MPA program at a slower or faster pace than is outlined below.
