Undergraduate Programs

Minor in Public Policy

The Public Policy minor provides an overview of the design, management, and evaluation of public policies and programs. It emphasizes applying interdisciplinary social science theory and methods to issues of public policy and management.

The Public Policy minor is an excellent complement to social science majors such as economics, political science, and sociology. The minor’s interdisciplinary approach also works very well with majors in applied and interdisciplinary fields such as business, family studies, urban and community studies, and environmental science.

For information about minor requirements see the Minor Audit Sheet.

The Department of Public Policy routinely offers undergraduate courses at both the Greater Hartford and Storrs campuses. Contact Valerie Rogers at valerie.rogers@uconn.edu for a copy of the current planned course offerings, or view our current semester course offerings.
